Chaskly is a notebook of essays and marginalia about reading, writing and the paper culture that surrounds both — letters, bookbinding, fountain pens, the objects that outlast a screen.

We write slowly, on purpose, about things that were made to be handled: a stitched signature, a good nib, a letter worth keeping. Nothing here is trying to be a productivity tip.

Every piece is written by hand first, then typed up — not for nostalgia, but because the pace of a pen changes what gets said. When we recommend a maker or a material, it is because we have used it ourselves.
